ARTICLE 4 — PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes.

4.1. Responding to enquiries

The data provided enables DVI to answer questions, contact enquirers and provide the information requested.

Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on DVI's legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries or on taking pre-contractual steps at the data subject's request.

4.2. Assessing a service request

The information provided enables DVI to identify the requirement, assess technical and operational conditions, evaluate the feasibility of a service and prepare a potential commercial proposal.

Depending on the context, processing is based on pre-contractual steps or on DVI's legitimate interest in assessing requests made in connection with its business activities.

4.3. Managing business and contractual relationships

Where an enquiry leads to a business relationship, certain data is used to prepare quotations, organise communications, manage orders and monitor service delivery.

Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on performance of a contract, pre-contractual steps, DVI's legitimate interest or compliance with legal obligations.

4.4. Ensuring Website security and operation

Certain technical data may be necessary to ensure the availability, security, maintenance and operation of the Website.

This processing is based on DVI's legitimate interest in securing its services or, depending on the operations concerned, on applicable legal obligations.

4.5. Measuring traffic and improving the Website

Where audience measurement tools are used, the corresponding data may help assess traffic and improve Website usability or content.

The legal basis for processing and the conditions for using trackers depend on the tool and its configuration.

Where consent is required, it is obtained before the relevant trackers are used.

4.6. Managing legal obligations and disputes

Certain information may be retained to meet applicable legal, accounting or regulatory obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Depending on the circumstances, this processing is based on a legal obligation or on DVI's legitimate interest in protecting its rights.

ARTICLE 5 — MANDATORY INFORMATION

Certain Website form fields may be marked as mandatory where they are needed to identify the enquirer, understand the requirement or enable DVI to respond.

Failure to complete a mandatory field may prevent the form from being submitted or make it impossible to handle the request.

Other information is provided voluntarily by the user.

DVI asks users to limit the data they provide to the information needed to assess their requirements.

ARTICLE 6 — FORMS AND SUBMISSION OF REQUESTS

The Website uses forms that allow customers and prospects, in particular, to submit service requests.

These forms may be provided and hosted through Wix services and embedded directly in Website pages.

When a request is submitted, the information may be stored in form management tools and sent to authorised DVI business recipients through the messaging services used.

The information provided may then be entered into the internal tools needed to assess, handle or follow up the request.

Submitting a form does not constitute a firm order or automatic acceptance of a service.

ARTICLE 7 — DATA RECIPIENTS

Personal data is accessible to authorised persons involved in managing DVI requests and services, within the scope of their duties and on a need-to-know basis.

It may also be processed by the following categories of service provider:

  • Hosting and web service providers, including Wix.

  • Messaging and electronic communication providers.

  • IT providers involved in system administration, hosting, maintenance or security.

  • Administrative and accounting service providers, where the data is needed for their work.

  • Technical or operational partners where their involvement is necessary to deliver a service and the disclosure of data has an appropriate legal basis.

DVI does not sell personal data collected through its forms.

Data may also be disclosed to legally authorised authorities or bodies where disclosure is mandatory or legally justified.

ARTICLE 8 — RETENTION PERIODS

DVI applies a retention policy based on the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is processed.

Enquiries and quotation requests that do not proceed: data is retained for the time needed to handle the request and follow up communications. Contact details retained for follow-up or business prospecting must not be kept for more than three years from the data subject's last contact, unless specifically justified.

Data relating to contractual relationships: information needed to monitor services is retained for the duration of the contractual relationship, then archived where necessary to meet legal obligations or defend DVI's rights.

Accounting documents and supporting records: documents subject to accounting retention obligations are kept for the applicable statutory periods, including ten years where required by the regulations.

Technical service data: retention periods depend on the nature of the documents, applicable regulatory or contractual obligations and traceability requirements.

Technical connection and security data: retention is limited to the periods needed for service security, diagnostics and operation, in accordance with the rules and settings applicable to the systems concerned.

At the end of the applicable periods, data is deleted, anonymised or archived with restricted access where continued retention remains legally justified.

ARTICLE 9 — SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

DVI implements appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss and unlawful disclosure.

These measures may include restricting access to authorised persons, managing permissions, IT security systems and appropriate backup procedures.

Providers involved in processing data are subject to the legal and contractual obligations applicable to their role.

As no electronic transmission or storage can be completely secure, DVI adapts its safeguards to the risks identified and the applicable requirements.

ARTICLE 10 — INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Certain technical providers used to operate the Website or manage data may use infrastructure or entities outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred to third countries, those transfers must be governed in accordance with the GDPR, in particular by an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as applicable.

Data subjects may ask DVI for further information about transfers affecting them and the applicable safeguards.

ARTICLE 11 — DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

Under the GDPR, data subjects have the following rights, subject to the conditions laid down in the applicable legislation:

  • The right to access their personal data.

  • The right to rectify inaccurate information.

  • The right to erasure, where the legal conditions are met.

  • The right to restriction of processing.

  • The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to the applicable conditions.

  • The right to data portability, where applicable.

  • The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

The exercise of these rights may be restricted in circumstances provided for by law, particularly where a legal obligation requires certain data to be retained.

ARTICLE 12 — EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

Any personal data request may be sent to:

Drone Visual Inspection

contact@dronevisualinspection.com

To protect personal information, DVI may request additional information to verify the enquirer's identity where there is reasonable doubt.

Requests are handled as promptly as possible and, in principle, within a maximum of one month of receipt, subject to extensions permitted by law.

ARTICLE 13 — COMPLAINTS TO THE CNIL

Data subjects may lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), particularly if they believe that the processing of their personal data does not comply with the applicable regulations.

Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL)

https://www.cnil.fr

They may also seek the judicial remedies provided for by the applicable legislation.

ARTICLE 14 — COOKIES AND TRACKERS

The Website may use cookies and similar technologies as part of its operation.

Tracker categories, their purposes and the arrangements for consent or preference management are detailed in the Cookie Policy available on the Website.

ARTICLE 15 — NO SOLELY AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING

Submitting a request through the Website may trigger automated technical operations, such as recording the request or sending an acknowledgement of receipt.

These operations do not, in themselves, constitute acceptance of a service.

Decisions on commercial acceptance, feasibility assessment or commitment to undertake an operation are governed by DVI's organisation and the applicable contractual arrangements.

ARTICLE 16 — CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

DVI may amend this policy to reflect legal, technical or organisational changes affecting personal data processing.

The updated version is published on the Website with its revision date.

Where required by the regulations, data subjects are specifically informed of changes to the processing of their data.
